Whether you have visited us before, or are thinking about checking us out for the first time, we’re glad you're here! We understand that you might have some questions like how do I get there… what should I wear… what’s available for my kids… what should I expect in church? So here is a quick look into what you can expect at First Baptist Church of Bradenton!
How do I get there?
First Baptist Church is located at 1306 Manatee Avenue West in Downtown Bradenton.
What should I wear?
When you arrive you will see people in almost everything from jeans and polos to suits and ties.
The Pastors are typically dressed business casual.
A good way to gauge what you should wear...What would you wear to Chili’s or Panera? Any of these and you’ll be just fine.
Where should I park?
Our main parking lot is off of 14th street west. We have additional parking off of 13th street west and 4th avenue west.
What's available for my kids?
We have an awesome preschool and elementary age ministry available for your children. Our 1st Kids building is located across from the worship center and steps away from the parking lot. For more information about 1st Kids click here.
What should I expect at First Baptist?
We want to give you a little bit of an overview of what a Sunday gathering looks like...
After pulling up on our campus and parking, you will be greeted by friendly faces in our parking lot and our Guest Services kiosk. These members of our First Touch team will answer any questions you have. If you have children newborn - 5th grade, you will register them in at the computer kiosks in the 1st Kids building where they will take part in programs that occur during the 9:00 and 10:30 hours.
Our worship is led by a band and praise choir. You can stand or sit, sing or not as the audience joins in worship. The words to the songs are displayed on our two large screens above the platform so you can join in.
Then, one of our Pastors will teach and preach a Message that will add value and understanding to your life from the Bible. When the Pastor is finished, you will have the opportunity to respond through prayer, giving, singing, or other means as the morning dictates.
After the service, you will be dismissed to pick up your kids, or chat with new friends.
In the Worship Center in the rack in front of your seat you will find a Connection Card. We ask that you fill that out and bring it by the Guest Services desk where we have a gift waiting for you. You may also place it in the offering plate to let us know you were with us for the morning and give us an opportunity to thank you for spending some time with us.
