Invitation to all knitters and crocheters!
This includes winter residents.

The purpose of this ministry is to show God’s love in a tangible form to those who are hurting. Comfort shawls are handcrafted with prayer interwoven among the stitches. We pray as we work, whether the recipient is known or unknown. The comfort shawls may be given to men and women who are grieving the loss of a loved one, someone facing a serious illness or dealing with an unexpected emotional crisis.

Encouragement Ministry
This ministry is designed to encourage and inspire women who have lost their spouse and desire connection with other widows. Widows in God’s Service offers caring friendship, compassion and unconditional love. Activities and events are planned monthly. At any age, there are unique needs of women that can only be fully understood if we have walked in their steps.

Christians are instructed in God’s Word to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep themselves from being polluted by the world (James 1:27). Women need to help identify the interests and special needs of their sisters in Christ.

If you would like more information about how to become involved with WINGS contact Judy Arnold at 941-761.2470.

Community Outreach

Women share encouragement by making baskets of hope for victims of violence and baby baskets for young mothers. Each basket includes gift items, a message of hope and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

It is a free event, open to all women. Bring a dish to share and a small gift for a new mother or her baby.
