Outreach Ministries


The goal of First Baptist is to "Share Jesus."

We do this locally through many different ministries.

If you are interested in serving in one of these areas,

call the Church office and we will be glad to help you get connected.

  • Harvest Food Pantry

    We provide food to families in need on the second Monday of each month.You are welcomed to join us in this ministry by bringing in food items for the pantry, helping us prepare the pantry for the monthly distribution or by helping on distribution day.To view the list of suggested items to bring for the pantry, click here.

  • Lilies' Clothes Closet

    You can serve with this group as we provide clothing to families in need on the third Monday of each month. You are welcomed to join us in this ministry by bringing in clothing items, helping us sort the clothing, or by helping on distribution day.

  • Breakfast in the Park

    You can serve with this group as we provide breakfast for the needy each Thursday in our park. You are welcomed to join us in this ministry by preparing or serving food, or simply showing up to share Jesus' love.

  • Cancer support

    The Mission of the Cancer Support Ministry is to improve the quality of life for First Baptist Church members and families who are affected by cancer. This will be done through prayer, emotional and spiritual support, as well as helping with practical service.

  • Hands to Hearts

    Hands to Hearts Hand Crafters knit and crochet baby blankets for new mothers at North River Care Pregnancy Center. We also knit and crochet comfort shawls with prayer interwoven among the stitches, by praying as we work. These comfort shawls serve men and women who are grieving, facing a serious illness, or dealing with an unexpected emotional crisis. Beginners/learners are welcome, as are delivery drivers!

  • Random Acts of Kindness

    Random Acts of Kindness hosts the "Got Mail" box, sends cookies, notes and words of encouragement to people in our community and within our FBC family.

  • Watchman Prayer

    Prayer warriors praying a hedge of protection around our church by praying for specific needs for the ministries at FBC, the ministers and the church family. The monthly Watchman Prayer Alert keeps us up to date on prayer needs plus encouragement and insight into prayer.
